List of requirements
- Map skills
- Demonstrate how a compassworks and how to orient a map and what the symbols mean.
- Use a compass and a map on a five-mile (approved) hike.
- Participate at campouts
- Participate in Five activities (not troop meetings) two must include overnight camping.
- On a campout, select a site and sleep in a tent you pitch.
- On a campout demonstrate proper care, sharpening and use of the Knife, saw and ax, and how they should be used.
- Use a knife, saw or ax to Prepare fuel for a fire.
- Demonstate how to start a fires and stove.
- Light a fire and stove.
- On a campout, plan and cook a meal. Tell how to transport, store and prepare the foods you selected.
- Participate in a flag ceremony.
- Participate in an approved Service project for at least one hour.
- Identify at least ten wild animals in your area.
- First aid
- Show what to do in "hurry" cases (stopped breathing, serious bleeding and internal poisoning).
- Prepare a first-aid kit and take it on a hike.

- Object in the eye
- Rabid animal bite
- Puncture wounds (splinter, nail and fishhook)
- Serious burns (second-degree)
- Heat exhaustion
- Shock
- Heatstroke, dehydration, hypothermia and hyperventilation
- Water safety
- Tell precautions taken for a safe Swim.
- Pass a Boy Scout Swim test.
- Demonstrate water rescue methods.
- Participate in a drug abuse program and discuss it with your family.
- Demonstrate Scout spirit in your life.
- Scoutmaster conference.
- Complete a board of review.
